We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the applicable laws of Pakistan when you use any of the features and functions available on our Platform or Services, interact with us via an external service or application, through our customer service agents, or access our Services or our Platform through your computer, mobile device, or any other device with Internet connectivity.

1. INTRODUCTION TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

1.1. Data protection is a matter of trust and your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Sialo.pk collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Services or use of the Platform. This Privacy Policy applies regardless of the type of device you use to access our Services. Sialo.pk operates exclusively within Pakistan, and your personal data is controlled by:

1.2. In the course of you using Sialo.pk's applications and website (both web and mobile versions), as well as products, information, functions and other services operated by Sialo.pk, we will be collecting, using, disclosing, storing and/or processing data, including your personal data. In this Privacy Policy, "Platform" shall refer to Sialo.pk's website and mobile applications, and "Services" shall refer to all products, information, functions and services provided by Sialo.pk from time to time on the Platform.

1.3. This Privacy Policy exists to keep you informed of how we collect, use, disclose, store and/or process the data we collect and receive during the course of providing the Services or access to the Platform to you, our user, whether or not you have registered to use our Platform as a buyer (Shopper) or a seller. We will only collect, use, disclose, store and/or process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1.4. It is important that you read this Privacy Policy together with any other applicable notices we may provide for special applications, so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your personal data.

1.5. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changing legal, technical or business developments. When we update our Privacy Policy, we will take appropriate measures to inform you, such as by posting an amended Privacy Policy on the Platform. Where permissible under Pakistani law, your continued use of the Services or access to the Platform, including placing orders on the Platform, following the modifications, updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy shall constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the changes we make to this Privacy Policy. You agree that it is your responsibility to review and check the Privacy Policy frequently to see if any updates or changes have been made.

1.6. This Privacy Policy applies in conjunction with other notices, contractual clauses and consent clauses that apply in relation to the collection, storage, use, disclosure and/or processing of your personal data by us and is not intended to override them unless we state expressly otherwise.

1.7. All of these terms apply to Sialo.pk's users, whether or not the users have created an account as buyers and/or sellers, unless otherwise stated specifically to apply only to buyers or only to sellers.

2. THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

2.1. We collect the personal data described below in accordance with applicable Pakistani law and, where required, upon obtaining your consent.

2.2. Personal data means any information about an individual, whether recorded in a material form or not and whether true or not, who can be identified from that data (whether directly or indirectly), or from that data and other data to which we have or are likely to have access.

2.3. Depending on your use of our Platform and/or your interaction with our Services, you may be asked to provide us with certain information. While you can choose not to provide us with certain information, you might not be able to take advantage of many of our Services and Platform features. The personal data that you may opt to provide to us includes:

(a) Identity and Profile Data — your name, date of birth, gender, username and password, email address, telephone number, CNIC (where required for seller verification), your interests, and any personal data in photographs, videos or audio recordings you upload onto our Platform. Where you are a seller, we may also collect your business/shop name, address, National Tax Number (NTN)/Sales Tax Registration, business license, and other business-related information.

(b) Account and Transaction Data — your credit/debit card details, bank account details (for seller payouts), delivery/billing address, payments and orders to and from you, and other details of products and services supplied to or purchased through the Platform.

(c) Usage Data — information about how and when you use the Platform, products and Services or view any content on the Platform, as well as similar usage statistics.

(d) Marketing and Communications Data — your interests, survey responses, preferences for receiving marketing materials, communication preferences, preferences for particular products or services, and your feedback, chat, email or call history on the Platform or with third-party service providers.

(e) Location Data — such as your delivery address, real-time location for order pickup/drop-off coordination, and delivery/pick-up status of orders.

(f) Pickup & Delivery Data (Sialo.pk specific) — since Sialo.pk itself collects orders directly from sellers and delivers them to the Shopper's doorstep, we also collect: seller pickup address and contact details, rider/dispatch assignment data, pickup timestamps, in-transit tracking data, proof-of-delivery (signature, photo, or OTP confirmation at doorstep), and any delivery instructions or access notes you provide (e.g. gate codes, landmark notes).

(g) Additional Information — information we may request for due diligence checks or required by relevant authorities for identity verification, or if we believe you are violating our Privacy Policy or other terms and conditions.

2.4. We automatically collect certain information when you use your devices to access our Platform (see "Collection of Computer Data" below).

How We Receive Your Personal Data

2.5. During the course of your use of the Platform and our provision of the Services, we may receive personal data from you when you:

(a) browse our website (web and mobile versions); (b) create an account with us (as buyer or seller); (c) as a seller, list products for sale on the Platform; (d) apply for, subscribe to or otherwise use any Service; (e) make a transaction for products available on the Platform; (f) use any payment-related function on the Platform or via our third-party payment providers; (g) hand over an order to our pickup rider for delivery, or receive a delivery from our rider at your doorstep; (h) upload user-generated content on the Platform; (i) use the chat/support function on the Platform; (j) subscribe to our publications or marketing material; (k) enter a competition, promotion or survey; (l) log in via an external service such as Facebook or Google; (m) post comments on other users' content, or others comment on your content; (n) a third party lodges a complaint against you or your content; and (o) interact with our customer service agents (including outsourced agents).

2.6. We may collect personal data from you, third parties (agents, vendors, contractors, partners and others who provide services to us or perform functions on our behalf — including payment service providers, courier/logistics staff, financial services providers, and delivery partners), or such data may be collected automatically when you use the Platform, as set out in this section.

2.7. By using the Platform and Services, you consent to the transfer of your personal data from third parties to Sialo.pk for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

2.8. You agree to only submit personal data which is accurate, up-to-date and not misleading, and to keep it updated. We may request documentation and carry out checks to verify the personal data you provide as part of our user verification processes or as required under law.

2.9. If you choose not to provide certain personal data, or withdraw your consent to our use of it, we may not be able to provide you with certain features or Services.

2.10. Where you provide personal data of other individuals to us (e.g. as delivery recipients, alternate contacts, or persons in your contact list), you represent and warrant that you have obtained the necessary consent from such individuals to share their data with us and for us to process it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2.11. If you sign up using your social media account or link your Sialo.pk account to it, we may access personal data you have voluntarily provided to that social media provider, and we will manage it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collection of Computer Data

2.12. We or our authorised service providers may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies in connection with your use of the Services or Platform.

2.13. When you visit the Platform, our servers automatically record technical and usage data your browser/app sends, which may include your IP address, date and time of access, device type, unique device identifiers, browser type, broad geographic location (city/area-level, e.g. for delivery zone matching), browsing patterns and interaction details. We also gather information about browser software, operating system, pages viewed, and session data. Where required by applicable law, we will seek your prior consent for cookies and similar tracking technologies.

2.14. This data is collected to help us improve the website/app, personalise content, make the Platform more useful, and provide more relevant recommendations and advertising.

2.15. Cookies are small text files placed in your browser/device when you visit our Platform. Web beacons are small graphic images used to understand page views and preferences.

2.16. You may manage or delete cookies through your browser/device settings; note that some cookies are required for core functionality (e.g. shopping cart), so disabling them may affect Platform functionality.

3. USE AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Purpose of Use

3.1. We use and disclose personal data for the purposes below in accordance with applicable Pakistani law and, where required, your consent.

3.2. Depending on your relationship with us, your personal data may be used for:

a) Facilitating your use of the Services or access to the Platform. b) Administering your online account. c) Conducting analytics, research, business development and improving the layout/content of the Platform. d) Identifying visitors and understanding user experience. e) Conducting surveys and research to improve our technology. f) Deriving further attributes to provide more relevant information. g) Conducting data analysis, testing, monitoring usage/activity trends. h) Further developing our products and Services. i) Ascertaining identity for fraud detection purposes. j) Comparing/verifying information with third parties for accuracy. k) Processing complaints, feedback, enforcement actions and take-down requests. l) Producing statistics for internal and statutory reporting/record-keeping. m) Storing, hosting and backing up your personal data for operational, legal or business purposes. n) Sharing personal data in connection with any proposed sale, merger or acquisition of our business, subject to applicable law. o) Preventing or investigating actual or suspected violations of our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, fraud, or unlawful activity. p) Performing due diligence checks. q) Complying with legal and regulatory requirements, including law enforcement or government requests within Pakistan. r) Protecting the life, health or personal safety of Sialo.pk's employees, riders, users and/or the public. s) Any other purpose for which your consent has been obtained.

3.3. Where you are a Shopper (buyer):

Processing your order: a) Processing orders submitted through the Platform. b) Coordinating pickup of your ordered product directly from the seller and delivering it to your doorstep — this is Sialo.pk's own logistics model, so your address, delivery instructions, and real-time order status are shared with our internal dispatch/rider team (not necessarily a third-party courier) to complete delivery. c) Updating you on pickup and delivery status of your order. d) Providing customer support for your orders, including returns/exchanges. e) Verifying and carrying out payment transactions (cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, cash on delivery) — payment data may be transferred to our payment service providers.

Providing Services: a) Displaying your name/username/profile (e.g. on reviews). b) Responding to your queries, feedback, claims or disputes. c) Assessing eligibility for any credit/instalment options offered on the Platform (where applicable).

Marketing: a) Sending information you may find useful or have requested. b) Sending marketing/promotional information about Sialo.pk or seller products. c) Using content you upload as part of advertising/marketing campaigns.

3.4. Where you are a Seller:

Providing Services: a) Coordinating the pickup of your listed/sold products from your business address by our dispatch/rider team, so that Sialo.pk can deliver directly to the Shopper. b) Responding to your queries, feedback, claims or disputes. c) Verifying documentation submitted for seller onboarding. d) Displaying your shop name/profile on the Platform. e) Verifying and carrying out payment transactions/payouts related to your sales. f) Assessing applications for seller financing (where applicable). g) Facilitating the return of products to you.

Marketing: a) Sending marketing/promotional materials about Sialo.pk's services.

Who We May Disclose Your Personal Data To

3.5. We may share your personal data with third parties for the purposes above, including:

(i) Service providers such as payment service providers, our own delivery/dispatch staff and third-party courier back-up partners (where used), marketing and data analytics providers, customer service providers, cloud hosting providers, credit-risk assessment providers, and IT/website hosting providers — all operating within Pakistan; (ii) Their sub-service providers and related companies; (iii) Courts, tribunals, law enforcement agencies, and governmental or regulatory authorities in Pakistan, where required or permitted by applicable law, or to protect our or others' legal rights and vital interests; (iv) Any other person with your consent to the disclosure.

3.6. We take steps to ensure third parties keep your personal data secure and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

3.7. Sialo.pk operates exclusively within Pakistan. Your personal data is processed and stored within Pakistan, in accordance with applicable Pakistani data protection law. (If any part of your infrastructure — e.g. cloud hosting — is located outside Pakistan, this section should be updated to disclose that specific transfer and jurisdiction.)

Third-Party Services

3.8. We may share your personal data with our third-party service providers (e.g. payment service providers) so they can offer their services to you in connection with your use of the Platform. Your use of such third-party services is subject to the terms and privacy policy of that third party, which becomes the data controller of that data. Queries or complaints relating to such third-party services should be directed to that party.

4. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

4.1. You may withdraw your consent to the continued use, disclosure, storing and/or processing of your personal data by contacting us using the details in Section 11, subject to applicable legal conditions.

4.2. If you withdraw consent or exercise other rights available under applicable law, we may not be able to continue providing the Services to you, and we will not be liable for any resulting inability to provide Services. Our legal rights and remedies are expressly reserved.

4.3. You may unsubscribe from marketing information at any time via your app/account settings or the unsubscribe link in marketing communications.

5. UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

5.1. It is important that the personal data you provide is accurate, up-to-date and complete. You are responsible for informing us of any changes or inaccuracies.

5.2. You can update your personal data anytime via your account settings on the Platform.

5.3. We may share updates to your personal data with third parties with whom we have shared it, where still necessary for the stated purposes.

6. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

6.1. You may request information about the personal data we hold, or how it has been used, disclosed or processed, via your account settings or by contacting us (Section 11). You may also request correction of any error or omission. We may request further information to process your request, and may refuse vexatious or unreasonable requests where permitted by law.

6.2. Where permitted by applicable law, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for retrieving your personal data records, and will inform you of any such fee before processing your request.

7. SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

7.1. To safeguard your personal data, we have introduced administrative, physical and technical measures such as:

(a) Restricting access to personal data to individuals who require it (including limiting rider/dispatch access to only the delivery data needed to complete a pickup or drop-off); (b) Maintaining technology to prevent unauthorised access; (c) Using TLS 1.2 (or higher) encryption when processing your financial details; and/or (d) Implementing other security measures as required by applicable law.

7.2. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect your information and continuously review our security measures. Please exercise caution when sharing your personal data and authentication/security details outside the Platform.

8. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

8.1. We retain your personal data only for as long as required or permitted by law, or as relevant to the purposes for which it was collected.

8.2. We securely dispose of or anonymise your personal data as soon as it is reasonable to assume retention is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected, or for any legal or business purpose.

9. MINORS

9.1. Sialo.pk does not sell products to minors, nor does it intend to provide Services or Platform access to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to minors.

9.2. You confirm and warrant that you are above the age of minority under Pakistani law and capable of understanding and accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you are a minor, you may use our Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

9.3. As a parent or legal guardian, please do not allow minors under your care to submit personal data to Sialo.pk. If such data is disclosed to us, you consent to its processing and accept responsibility for the minor's actions on the Platform.

9.4. We are not responsible for unauthorised use of the Services by yourself, users acting on your behalf, or unauthorised users. It is your responsibility to prevent misuse of the Services.

10. THIRD-PARTY SITES

10.1. The Platform may contain links to other websites operated by other parties (e.g. payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. Please check their applicable privacy policies.

10.2. Even where a third party is affiliated with us, we have no control over third-party websites, each of which may have separate privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content, security or activities of linked sites, which you access at your own risk. We welcome feedback about linked sites, including if a link does not work.
